About Guardlane

We're building the record both sides of a security shift can trust.

Security cover is a big part of how sites stay safe, and it still runs on phone calls, group messages and paper logs. When a shift needs covering at short notice, finding someone qualified is slow. When a client later asks what happened on that shift, nobody can easily prove it.

Why we started

A lot of tools in this space are built around one side of the job. Shift boards help fill a rota and tend to stop at the booking. Workforce platforms record the shift well but are usually built for companies managing their own employed staff. We wanted one place that connects finding cover with proving it was delivered, and that treats an officer's view of the site as part of the record.

Guardlane joins those up. The shift is published, booked, worked and paid in one place, and each step leaves evidence behind.

What we believe

Evidence over memory

What happened on a shift should come from the record of the shift, not from whoever argues loudest afterwards. That protects officers who did the work as much as it protects clients.

Trust has to run both ways

Officers are rated constantly and asked about sites almost never. We think unsafe posts, poor briefings and late payment deserve the same scrutiny as a missed patrol.

Safety isn't a star rating

A serious safety concern shouldn't be flattened into a one-star review, and a single bad review shouldn't quietly end someone's work. Safety reports and ratings are kept separate on purpose.

Honest about where we are

We would rather tell you what isn't ready than let you find out. Our how it works page lists what works today and what still has to be in place before we open to the public.

Where we're starting

We're starting in the United Kingdom, with a controlled launch rather than an open noticeboard. The aim is to prove three things first: shifts can be filled quickly, officers get paid predictably, and both sides get accountability they can actually use.
