How can we help?

In danger right now?

Guardlane is not an emergency service. If you or anyone else is at risk, call 999 first, then follow your site's escalation procedure.

Report a safety concern

For unsafe conditions or conduct on a shift, use the private safety report in the app. It isn't shown as a public rating.

Getting started

What is Guardlane?
A marketplace for security cover shifts. Security companies and site operators publish shifts, qualified officers book and work them, and the shift is recorded from check-in to check-out. Read how it works.
Is Guardlane available now?
We're preparing for launch in the United Kingdom. Accounts can be created now, and some features, including live payouts and accredited licence verification, are being added before public launch. See what's ready.
Should I sign up as an officer or a provider?
Sign up as an officer if you want to find and work shifts. Sign up as a provider if you're a security company, contractor or site operator that needs shifts covered.
How do I sign in?
Use the Sign in button at the top of any page, which takes you to the Guardlane portal. Officers can also sign in through the mobile app.

Account and security

I forgot my password
Use "Forgot password" on the sign-in screen. Resetting your password signs you out of your other sessions, as a security precaution.
Why do I need to verify my email?
It confirms the address belongs to you, so account recovery and shift notifications reach the right person.
How do I delete my account?
Email info@visuosofts.com from the address on your account. Some records, such as completed shifts and payments, may need to be kept for a period for legal and accounting reasons, as explained in our privacy policy.

Shifts

How do I find shifts?
Open the shift marketplace in the app or portal and filter by time, location, pay and requirements. Open a shift to see its full details before accepting.
Can two officers book the same shift?
No. Once a shift is accepted it's no longer open, and the system blocks double booking.
How do I publish a shift?
From a provider account, create a shift with the site, times, duties, required qualifications, pay and site instructions. You'll see a preview before publishing.
What licence do I need?
Each shift lists the qualifications it requires. In the UK, licensable security roles need the appropriate SIA licence, and different roles need different licences. Don't accept a shift you aren't licensed for.

On duty

How does check-in work?
When you arrive, check in from the app to start your duty session. If the provider has set a site boundary, your location is compared with it, and the result shows as inside, outside, not shared, or boundary not set.
What if I have no signal on site?
The app saves duty actions such as welfare checks, patrol checkpoints and tasks, and sends them when you reconnect. They won't be counted twice.
What happens if I miss a welfare check?
It's flagged to the provider in their exceptions queue. If you need help, use the support request in duty mode, and in an emergency call 999.
Is my location tracked when I'm off duty?
No. Location is only used during a duty session to confirm attendance at the site, and location history is deleted after a set retention period.

Payments

When do I get paid?
Each shift shows a payment timeline: pending, in review and paid. Checking out moves a shift's payment into review. Live payouts to your bank account are being connected before public launch.
My payment looks wrong
Check the shift's payment timeline first. If the amount or hours are wrong, email info@visuosofts.com with the site, date and what you expected. The shift record helps us check what happened.
Does Guardlane store my card details?
No. When card payments are live, they are handled by our payment processor, and card details are never stored in Guardlane's own systems.

Ratings and safety

How do ratings work?
After a shift, officers rate the site on safety, briefing, shift accuracy, respect and conduct, and payment reliability. Providers rate officers. Each dimension is kept separate rather than merged into one average.
I think a rating about me is unfair
Email info@visuosofts.com with the shift details. Ratings are reviewable, and we don't use a single rating on its own to stop someone working.
How do I report something unsafe?
Use the private safety report in the app, and choose a severity: concern, urgent or critical. Safety reports are handled separately and never shown publicly. If anyone is in immediate danger, call 999 first.
